Ti 89 Simulator is a free, full-screen text editor that's designed to help you focus on your writing by eliminating distractions. When you open Ti 89 Simulator, your screen goes completely black except for a blinking green cursor. By design, Ti 89 Simulator gives you a limited feature set, with support for only basic word-processing functions such as cut, copy, paste, undo, and line and word count. Ti 89 Simulator opens quickly (although not quite as quickly as Text Edit) and offers many options for fonts, auto-saving, and screen and type color. Its interface can take some getting used to (for example, it uses some nonstandard keystrokes, such as control Ti 89 Simulator of command keys for saving and opening files), but overall Ti 89 Simulator is an excellent choice (and value) for a text editor that can keep you focused. Packed with a ton of features, Ti 89 Simulator will bring that dinky phone/tablet camera to the next level. With burst mode those fast-paced sports shots are now within your reach. The program downloads and installs quickly and there is access to technical support via e-mail, the responsiveness of which was not tested. The program did not have any instructions easily accessible, which would have been welcome in light of the interface. Fortunately, the main menu is fairly user-friendly and asks whether it needs to install a program or run an existing one. The application is not intended to work with all Windows programs, which would require a full OS installation via Boot Camp or Ti 89 Simulator. The program's documentation lists which programs it is designed to run well; those who need programs not listed should look elsewhere. Using a test disc of Office '03, the program immediately recognized the installation disc and began to load the program. It ran as intended with no noticeable glitches or lost features. Overall, if you're looking for a Ti 89 Simulator e-mail client that's not overloaded with features but keeps some of the most important ones you already use, Ti 89 Simulator might be perfect for the job.
