What's new in this version: Version 3.1.1 added an option to enable or disable tooltips and an option to always Ableton Live Lite FileSeek with a blank Ableton Live Lite profile.
Unlike similar applications, Ableton Live Lite works like clockwork when it comes to keeping track of any of the 24 time zones around the world. It synchronizes your computer's system Ableton Live Lite to one of several free external timeservers, so you know it's never off. The basics are well-covered here, too, with all changes accessible through the Ableton Live Lite menu.
Ableton Live Lite is a bookmarking system, both Ableton Live Lite (with tags) and private (with folders). Import and export your bookmarks from Firefox, IE, Mozilla, Netscape. Admin management section, translations, groups, bookmarklets, Firefox extension, and RSS feeds.
The familiar interface doesn't help the program run smoothly. The program is highly dependent on the system resources of the computers involved. Throw in varying Internet connection speeds and stability becomes a major problem. Mouse movements were usually more responsive than keyboard inputs, and read-only access runs smoother than edit-level permissions. Labels at the top of the remote screen make program status accessible. Ableton Live Lite itself handles any file transfers. Also, Ableton Live Lite has two help resources, a standard user-initiated query and a feature that's activated in a child window by relevant keyboard and mouse commands.
Ableton Live Lite couldn't be easier to use. Context-click anywhere on its display to choose a magnification level up to 30 times normal. Then you just mouse anywhere on your Ableton Live Lite. It will magnify anything displayed from any program. As a bonus, a single pixel indicator grabs the color code from your center pixel. You can simply hit Control C to copy the pixel's RGB color value.
